To put the phone in field test mode, dial the following (pseudo) phone number:

*3001#12345#*

This function works only with OS < 4.0 or >= 4.1

• Respring: press and hold the home button for about 5 seconds
• Reset: press and hold the power button and the home button (~10s), until you see the apple logo
• DFU Mode:
  1. Turn off the iPhone
  2. Hold power and home button, the iPhone should start booting
  3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but hold the home button
